Benjamin C's Story...
I'm currently on Methadone
160ml. to be exact. It was my drug of choice. Now that I'm addicted and
receive treatment at a clinic here in Las Vegas I've tricked them into
raising my dose several times.
I've recently pulled a 180
degree in a life changing revelation , which includes attending A. A. 2
times a day. Also an out patient rehabilitation program etc. I'll tell my
story in further detail this next few days thanks to your web platform which
in time will be a lifesaving tool, in my opinion. Long story short I told
the doctor and a counselor, that I tricked and deceived, well, plain flat
lied to be honest. I did this to the clinic and everyone who works there, so
they would raise my level of methadone. Hoping to get a high I once had
before tolerance interfered and ruined everything for me. They have not yet
lowered my dose. When I sit down 3 hours after taking 160ml (this is on a
daily basis). I fall asleep, nod off, dose off, catch a nod, whatever you
call it.
When I told the
professionals what happens to me, Their response was , You are probably
depressed. It is quite possibly a thyroid condition. Or, its other drugs you
may be taking? I just received a physical, and results of my blood work ,
(done by an outside entity). I'm in great shape and my thyroid is is fine, I
can prove it if anyone is interested.
I'm not sure what to think
of all this. I do know one thing, and that is always consistent. when ever I
hint or even slightly mention coming off or suggest my dose be lowered by
few of the counselors or DR . R at the Adelson clinic here in Las Vegas.
There is an almost immediate resistance and pre-programmed defense that has
almost been planted in stone in their minds. I have a great deal of respect
for those working at this clinic .Dr. Adelson is a passionate Dr. who only
wants to help us addicts and thinks herself no better, for not having a
disease we, (I) posses, there is immediate action to be taken, that needs to
be taken! and I'd like to help an any way I can. These clinics have saved
thousands and thanks to the Adelson clinic, God only knows what I would have
become. self medicating still, or in a grave.
