Ask yourself this question, If I were a carpenter, or
mechanic, would I be going to work without
my tools? If you did, it would be very hard to
get the job done. Living in recovery uses many tools to get the job done.
The 12 Steps are just one of the tools to help us grow in our
recovery. There are also many other recovery
works and writings available to us that help us broaden our horizons
in recovery leading us to a better understanding of ourselves.
Meetings meditation, praying,
recreation, therapy, diet,
rest and exercise are also necessary for
well rounded recovery.
As we continue in our recovery we are no longer a
prisoner of our addiction and we are able to become
open minded allowing us to be more open to positive influences and grow physically,
mentally, and spiritually along the path of recovery. Please feel free to pass these on to anyone
both in and out of the fellowship so they too may enjoy
these tools.
If you have any
recovery tools that you would like to share use the feedback form to
submit it as I am always adding on to this website to
make it a better place for everyone. Remember we can only keep what we have by giving
it away!
