Addiction and Recovery
Stories at NA AA
Recovery Zone. Due to overwhelming demand I ran out of space on page
one so I made this page to put more stories on. Thank you everyone
who sent in their stories and if you are an addict or alcoholic feel
free to send in your personal story. Click on the links at the
bottom to view the stories.
Positive stories on how recovery has changed your
life and what recovery means to you are a great way to help the newcommers learn what the winners are doing and the changes they are
making in their personal lives to conquer their addiction
problems and win the battle in recovery. Remember we learn by
example, hence the saying "Fake it, Till you Make it."
Recovery can be a life long struggle and the the
road to Recovery is a constantly changing path
that is not always easy and sometimes
relapse is a definite reality in
Recovery. Stories about
Relapse can be a very valuable tool and may help others avoid some
of the pitfalls that many of us had to go through. Remember, "It is not where we have been that
counts, but where we are going." We need to hear
all of these stories both good and bad as this is how we all learn
about this wonderful journey called recovery.
All stories
sent in will be published in an anonymous fashion, simply sign the story
with whatever you want, first name, last initial, or simply anonymous. I
do not keep any records at the NA AA Recovery Zone and the sole purpose
of the whole site is the concept of sharing what works.
If you have been thinking of writing
an Addiction or Alcoholism Story, and you would like to share your Personal
Recovery Story fire up
that word processor and start processing!
Thanks
Nick M.
