Treasures…Tucked Away
In the midst of our years
along life's way
are treasures 'n trinkets
tenderly tucked away.
A photograph gently falls
from a page in a book
It moves us to memory…
so we take a look.
Never quite knowing
where it'll take us..
A feeling of joy or sadness
Will it make us or break us?
Cards, letters, lovingly written
far away they went
Some mailed and received…
and some never sent.
Newspaper clippings
slip from here 'n there
yellow and faded
showing bits of wear.
Memories kept by someone
from someone who cared
All of these things
are meant to be shared.
So….if, in a day's passing
no matter what it may be:
A trinket…a treasure
or photograph you see,
Pass it on, share it
with someone who may care
They'll respond…and reflect
and be glad it was there.
These treasures 'n trinkets
found along life's way
can give profound pleasure
and brighten someone's day.
