What is a Jobbie Nooner?
Jobbie Nooner has been a Macomb County and Lake St.
Clair local tradition for almost 30 years
The annual island parties began in 1975 as a small get together
among Detroit Autoworkers "Jobbies" who "Pulled a Nooner" and
ditched work to celebrate a birthday.
Where is Jobbie Nooner?
Jobbie Nooner is held every year on Gull Island in Lake St.
Clair and is one wild event for the open minded over 21 crowd
and is not a family event!
When is Jobbie Nooner?
As the name implies Jobbie Nooner used to start
around noon, if you want to park close come early. If you want
to leave early park far away because you won't be able to get
out.
What Happens at Jobbie
Nooner?
Jobbie Nooner Parties are well known as a major party
event in Macomb County. It is also not a place for children to
visit as there are many boaters that are drinking in public,
women exposing themselves, bands playing,etc. and has become one
wild spectacle.
