The Dunderburg was a three masted schooner built by J.M. Jones of Detroit
in 1867. The Dunderburg now rests upright in about 150 feet of
water, approximately four miles off Harbor Beach, Michigan, in Lake Huron.
The water temperature on this wreck in late August is
about 34 degrees and requires a quality drysuit to be done safely. Due to
it's depth it is necessary to do a decompression dive if you want to see
any more than the railing. right now you can do a dive on the Dunderburg
without getting wet in your socks and underwear, isn't technology great.
