This photograph shows a close-up of my first stage that is completely
encased in ice due to the free flow but is still functioning perfectly due
to the Sherwood Maximus dry air-bleed first stage that is a great cold water
diving regulator. If you want to test out scuba equipment to see how tough
it is, this is the place. If you want to test out how tough you are this
is a good place for that too.
When it is this cold out you don't need to dry off because
the water turns to ice instantly when the cold wind hits it. You simply shake
around a little bit and the ice just flakes off in sheets. You can see the
ice flakes in the top right.
